Endodontic Residency Programs — Spring 2025
A structured, five-week intensive designed to build mastery in 3D dataset interpretation and clinical diagnostic decision-making.
About the Course
This program focuses on developing both foundational and advanced skills in CBCT interpretation, with a strong emphasis on clinical application and diagnostic decision-making.
Residents will learn to systematically approach 3D datasets, recognize subtle findings, and understand the limitations and optimization of CBCT imaging — skills that directly translate to better patient outcomes.
The course is designed to be interactive, with a strong emphasis on case-based learning. Programs are encouraged to submit cases for live review and discussion.
Curriculum
CBCT acquisition protocols and parameter optimization for clinical settings.
Data correction and clinical techniques to minimize imaging artifacts.
Navigation tools and efficient workflows for 3D dataset review.
A structured CBCT interpretation sequence for consistent, reproducible reads.
Anatomical considerations for endodontic and surgical procedures.
Differential diagnosis of apical lesions using 3D imaging findings.
Access design and evidence-based treatment planning with CBCT guidance.
Identification and diagnosis of vertical root fractures using CBCT.
Investment
This is a flat-fee, program-level enrollment. Once your program is enrolled, all eligible participants — residents and faculty who hold an institutional .edu email address associated with your program — are invited to attend and audit all sessions.
There is no per-seat charge and no cap on participants from your department. The goal is to make this fully accessible to your entire team.
Your Instructor
Dr. Azevedo brings a specialized focus on CBCT imaging as applied to endodontic diagnosis and treatment planning. His teaching approach emphasizes systematic interpretation methodology, clinical decision-making, and real-world case application.
The course draws on an extensive library of clinical cases, with each session structured around focused lecture content followed by live, interactive case discussions.
